Union Minister for Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs M Venkaiah Naidu today said the second phase of Parliament budget session would commence from April 25.

The Union government would give top priority for the issues pertaining to finance in Parliament session from April 25 to May 13, Venkaiah Naidu said on the sidelines of Hindi advisory meeting held at Hotel Taj Deccan here on Thursday.

Parliament would discuss railway, general budget and finance bill, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister said. Parliament would also take up a discussion on the recommendations submitted by standing committees of various Ministries, he said, adding that 13 bills would be introduced in the Lok Sabha. “We will hold consultations with other parties to ensure passage of GST bill in this session itself”, he asserted.

Venkaiah Naidu, who attended Hindi Advisory Committee meeting, later said there was nothing wrong in learning English. But we should not forget our mother tongue, he added. (NSS)
