Directorate General of Foreign Trade (“DGFT”) vide Policy Circular No. 23/2015-20 dated May 15, 2019 has created an online facility to ‘Upload Document’ in the Advance Authorisation (“AA”) and Export Promotion Capital Goods (“EPCG”) ECOM modules, so that the exporters are not required to submit hard copy of AA or EPCG application and its related documents to the DGFT Regional Authority (“RA”).

Therefore with effect from May 20, 2019, all exporters filing online AA & EPCG applications will, in addition, need to upload the supporting documents as prescribed in ANF/FTP/HBP. RA’s would examine/process such ECOM applications based on the information & documents filed online by the exporter and issue AA/EPCG within the laid down timelines of 3 working days.
