MSME in Ludhiana urges Punjab govt to clear GST, VAT refunds

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the state have requested the Punjab government to clear Value Added Tax (VAT) and Goods and Services Tax (GST) refunds immediately. In this regard, on Saturday, the CICU Steering Committee meeting held a meeting with the state government and apprised them of the current situation.

We have raised several issues and urged him to expedite GST and VAT refunds soon. In addition to this, other issues like restarting of mining, resolution of labour issues and waiver of fixed charges for electricity, were also brought to the notice of the government” said S Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, the Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU).

“We also urged the central government to give interest subvention to MSME for six months, Vehicle Scrap policy (15 years) must implement immediately as it will help auto industry to survive and for better availability of scrap, CLSS & TUF Scheme to be restart with higher funds,” Ahuja added.
