Ease in the procedure for granting registration under DVAT and CST Act:

The Delhi Government vide Circular No. 20/2016 – 17 dated January 13, 2017 has made certain modifications in Circular No. 6 of 2016-17 dated May 17, 2016 dealing with procedure for registration through DVAT Msewa App in order to make the process more comfortable and easy. Modifications are as under;

  1. No, VAT verification is required for appellant dealer who applies through DVAT M Sewa and the registration would preferably granted within one day.
  2. It will be optional to provide bank details at the time of applying for registration. But the dealer needs to provide bank account details of the business on or before filing First Return.
  3. Now, digitally signed Registration Certificate (downloadable at the dealer’s end) will be granted within one day, to the dealer. These replace the old provision of granting ‘Provisional’ Certificate.
  4. Rest of the contents of the circular 6/2016 remains same.
