CBIC extends the last date of Re Import by 3 Months, for those where the last date of such re-import falls between 01.02.2020 and 31.07.2020 due to COVID-19

CBIC vide Notification No. 30/2020 – Customs dated July 10, 2020, has further extended the last date of re-import of cut & polished diamonds into India after certification/grading by the laboratories/agencies as notified in the Foreign Trade Policy, by three months, for those cases where the last date of such re-import falls between 01.2.2020 and 31.7.2020 due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic by amending the Notification No. 09/2012- Customs, dated March 09, 2012. Following are the amendment made discussed as hereunder:-

“Provided that for the cases where the last date of re-import falls between the February 01, 2020 and July 31, 2020, the last date stands extended by three months;”.
